Hello, my name is Daric and I race a Honda 160.
Over the years I've watched many people needlessly struggle with these bikes in the pits, unaware of or ignoring a few simple modifications that would have prevented countless DNFS. Of course, it is vintage racing and anything can happen, but these little bikes are very resilient, can take a lot of abuse, and last a long time, even when making significantly more power than ever intended. I love racing these bikes and want them to live on. I figure the best way to see that happen is to share what we know and make parts readily available.
I put this site together because I've spent the last 8 years sourcing and or creating parts needed to build fast and reliable 160 racebikes. While endlessly searching, I kept thinking it would be great if one could find what they need to race these bikes, in one place, and in stock. That's what I'm trying to do here.
Like the homepage says, take a lap around, see if you can find anything helpful, give me a shout if you have any questions. I will be adding regularly and if you sign up for my mailing list you'll be notified of new products and sales as they become available.
Lastly, a shout-out to a few of the people that I have to give thanks to, both for starting this craze and helping me along the way. In no particular order.
Joe @ Vicious Cycle: An excellent resource for building and racing the Honda 160.
The notorious Tim Fowler of the Fowler Formula: Legendary bad-ass, creative genius and instigator.
Les Barker at The Vintage Advantage: Always beyond helpful with ideas, parts and machining services.
Michael Bateman and Group W Racing: Original open source for 160 race builds.
